It's much easier in Nigeria (despite having to bribe rebels to avoid attacks) because people there are pretty modest and whilst they would want a bribe they won't be also taking your business altogether, in Russia though there is no limit to greed and stupidity - a deadly combination.

Set a thief to catch a thief - If corruption and intimidation is that bad in Russia then surely all someone serious about doing business there need do is hire a bunch of badasses themelves. Then if any heavies come round demanding protection money or something, just deliver their heads to their boss via the Russian equivalent of DHL, to show you mean business, literally.

Good for him. Why shouldn't he? I wish him every success after the despicable way he was treated in the media.

Brown is a brilliant orator as he showed in some speeches late in the election. He clearly has substance and a social conscience whereas Cameron and Clegg have shown what shallow spinmasters they are.
