Dsgraceful, but predictable. I wonder what would have happened if it had been Hamilton and Button? That was a rhetorical question, btw.

If it was Hamilton, a big fine and a lifetime ban I expect.

Well, given that the stewards questioned the Ferrari team and drivers, yet still believed that they issued team orders, then it also means that the stewards came to the conclusion that the whole Ferarri tribe lied through their teeth to the stewards.

When Hamiltion lied to the stewards (also for gaining a place), he was stripped of his points, given a suspended match ban - and that was considered lenient because they pleaded guilty and sacked the person most responsible/blame-able.

This just shows how much of a hold Ferrari have on the whole situation, anyone else they get the book thrown at 'em, Ferrari a slap on the wrist and a don't do it again.

They used to joke about FIA standing for Ferrari International Assistance or something?

You're not mistaken, that's exactly the joke. Ironic, of course, as it seems to be rather true.
