One of the rarely mentioned risks of contracting. Due to refusal to have time off for this kind of treatment, decay can reach an advanced stage requiring this type of approach.
I was literally shaking after a 45 minute session of this, with increasing amounts of anaesthetic being administered as he dug deeper 'have to get all the decay out you see, no choice'.
Not helped by the fact it was my brother doing the work...

True. If I'd been earlier I could have avoided it. If only there were evening dentists who would do the job outside office hours for an extra charge.

This one, however, is quite happy to use anaesthetics of whatever nature I request, as I simply pay with a credit card at the desk and he cashes in a tulipload of money, obviously sticking a big margin on whatever he administers. Just as I would.
The only dentist I knew in NL was a colleague's father in law. He had a rather fine billiard table in his waiting room (and yes, the Dutch taxman had questioned that), which we played on most Friday evenings. It had heater under the slate, which made it very fast. After several months of playing Dutch billiards I could thrash most of the pool team in my local back in the UK.

He had a very fine wine cellar as well, and since his doctor had warned him to go easy on the stuff, he was most insistent that we didn't let it go to waste.
