Imagine 40K people in a field eating crap and drinking too much and the only toilets are a huge hole in the ground filled with sticky blue chemicals.
Then move forward 4 days after each person has emptied their bowls at least 4 times and had numerous pees- the ammonia makes your eyes water at 20 meters away....

that truly is the most disgusting smell (and sight -- remember its just a box with a hole in it, over a trench)

But apart from that - Latitude was BRILLIANT

Oh yeah we were in the 'boutique camping ' area with flushing loos and hot showers
But you still had to take the occasional trip to the communal loos as it was around a 20 min walk from the arena to our campsite.

I didnt have a shower for 5 days last time I was at Glastonbury. The loos were awful!

I note that the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity does not have enough blind people, so spends it's millions silly grannies leave them on palatial headquarteds in Berkshire.

That I can well believe.

One of a former clientco's customers was the RSPCA, and at the time (c 2000) their offices were in a nice old building they owned in the centre of Horsham. I gather they've since moved to much more palatial offices slightly out of town.
