How much is council tax going to be raised, if at all? £10-£20 extra a year? Hardly going to break the bank is it :rollin

Be happy...in 6 years time all of Londons transport problems will have been solved and you will be able to get in to work on modern, up to date trains that no longer suffer from failed signals :rollin

I'll have to call you "2 flats" from now on.

                  Bloody typical

Whatever the news there will always be some whining tosspot moaning about an extra few pounds in Council Tax or suchlike. The fact is that planned properly, this will regenerate London's transport system and a vaste swathe of the East End. And yes someone has to pay for it.

*sigh* Have you still not learned anything about our great government and wonderful country...

No doubt it'll be outsources to the most incompetant (and most expensive) bidder and end up being a total shambles as per normal.

Still on the bright side at least the rest of the world will be watching to laugh at us all.....

                      Re: Bloody typical

Sorry but I really cannot see any benefit to this at all other than as a flag flying excercise. It will cost 5 billion and yes we will get some lovely sports stadiums in London and I am sure that the transport system will be lovingly restored to adequacy but how long will it last before the local chavs get hold of them?
