There was a dickhead socialist contractor at a mobile telco I had a gig at back in the early days of IR35. He was always going on about the international workers' movement, social justice, high earners should pay more taxes, etc. The fcuker got hit with a PAYE review (and ultimately got stung for IR35) and it turned out he was paying himself minimum wage, dividends to his missus, had an off-shore account, the works. So much for his social conscience.

Which are simply weasel words for basically saying I was wrong, but you just can't bring yourself to say it.

I look forward to more of your lefty, one liner snipes and contradictions. Perhaps even a few more "tough" guy lines - should be quite entertaining.

You're beginning to sound more and more like the spotty playground wimp you undoubtedly are. You still haven't told me where the contradiction and hypocricy is in my free lunch comment, most probably because there isn't one. You brought politics into this totally non political question to try to gain some higher moral ground. Unfortunately for you it failed miserably. Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is not a sign of weakness, although I now know it was probably a mistake in this case.

I could continue to argue with you, but can't really see the point. Arguing with an idiot can only bring you down to their level.

        fool.

You think I'm going to bother with someone who has problems with basic verbal reasoning who has spent most of the time on this board getting his anti-tory one liners wherever he can?

The sheer arrogance of this statement is astounding - most reasonable people would say they were wrong. You, on the other hand, give "benefit of the doubt".

You and Chico - you weren't separated at birth were you?

As you started the insults, about the only statement so far I agree with.

          End of.

Re-read this thread. Then tell me who replied to a simple question with not one, but two snide digs. I've had political diagreements with plenty of other people on this board and they were able to give straightfoward answers to the question. You on the other hand.....

Every time you reply you dig a little deeper.

It turned out they paid me the full amount (plus an extra 20% for taxes). I told the agency that they made a mistake and they said they didn't. I went to check the contract and they made the same mistake on the contract so I was legally allowed to keep that 20%. But then the agency manager realised the mistake and asked for the money back. Honesty is a bad habbit those days as I felt like I had to return the money. I did that, and the bank teller made a mistake as I made other two transfers on the same day and he got confused with the amounts so I gave them twice the amount I should have given.
It would have been ironical if they now kept the difference but instead they didn't. So tell me again, how much honesty does pay those days?
              Honesty is the best policy

LIke the time I was working in Rome, managed to lose my wallet containing my passport, credit cards 300 Euros and 200 puonds in sterling in cash, Building Pass, the works.

That night I had a cold sweat, no money , no Id, zilch and the first rent was due the next day.

Next day I got a call, somebody had found my wallet and handed it to the Termini railway station, went to collect it , everything was there, and wanted to leave a reward for the honest person who saved me from despair.

The lost property lady told me it was a young girl who handed it in but she did not want to leave her name.

It must have been Angel, the lost property lady said.

              I didnt argue with that.
