I think the fact that the OP picks out Grampian as the source of his figures sort of highlights the problem really. Aberdeen really is a dump. I can guarantee you, walk down Aberdeen with a Rangers / Celtic / England top on and you'll get the same amount of abuse. They really are inbreeds of the highest order, I hate the place. So don't tar all Scots the same because of that. If you go to the West of Scotland your religion seems to count more than your nationality and if you go up North no-one cares about your religion and it's your nationality which they'll hate you for.
Having served in Her Majesty's glorious forces, I became well accustomed to the term Frisp. You take it as banter though, clearly how it's intended. England has it's fair share of dicks though, I have been subject to racism in a club in Southampton ten years ago. Upon remarking to some old bloke in the toilets 'Alright mate' I got the drunken reply, '**** off, ******* Jock *****.' Now if I was sober I'd quite happily have laughed that off, but in my younger days I was the archetypical Stormy Jock.
There is also a clear anti Scottish message in quite a lot of the English mainstream media against Scotland. Take this as an example:
Passengers told to show passports when arriving in Scotland | Mail Online
(You'll notice the article has had to be changed to remove reference to English passengers, compare it to the original article which was quoted on the link below)
which generates lots of nice anti-Scottish comments on the likes of this:
Crossofstgeorge Debate :: View topic - English passengers forced to show passports in Scotch Region
Now when you sit and read into that article at the time, it was clear to anyone that English passengers were not being targeted, it was entirely random spot checks, yet the Daily Mail spun it as singling out the English, it's also interesting that they never ran that story North of the border in the Scottish edition.
There's even a nice Wiki article about Scotophobia (seriously, there's a word for it ) and who can forget old David Starkey and his views on Scotland.
Anyway, back to the point in question, I will support Anyone But England in the world cup, not through any hatred for England or the English (I've got a load of mates, blah blah blah) but purely because I hate the way your press builds you up, I mean seriously:

That backfired a bit didn't it?

Lots of English people said afterwards that they were all right behind Scotland because they were the only home team at those Finals. However, that was by no means the case. Very few were actively rooting for anyone else, but I cannot remember a single person who really gave a toss about how we fared.
Fair dos I thought, why SHOULD they give a hoot really?
I am much the same where England are concerned, I am not going to be cheering for anyone playing them, but I am not likely to be plastering the car with St George's flags neither.
I am watching these finals in the hope that the team that plays the most attractive footy and scores the most goals, ends up as Champions. As it stands, the chances of England being that team are not looking good, but if it all turns to gold over the next few weeks then so be it. They will deserve all the plaudits they will ultimately get.
If people believe I am racist because I am not falling over myself to jump on the England bandwagon, then that is their prerogative. I regard myself as a neutral observer.
Besides, that particular bandwagon looks like it has a few too many wobbly wheels for my liking!!“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”Comment
