This is mainly a flight to the 'safety' of US Treasury Bonds. US Stock markets are down a lot too.
GBP has weakened against the EUR, but it is all the way back to where it was ......... yesterday.
For all the talk of the UK defaulting on it's debt, the chances of this happening are as close to zero as it is possible to get. But some people still believe in the Labour party so who really knows what can happen in this quantum reality; I just wish I could get back to a sensible one.How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

It's good job they just struck gold in a Cornish tin mine. I can almost hear Gordon dancing around number 10 singing 'We're saved, we're saved'.Originally posted by TimberWolf View Post£ has dropped below $1.50 for the first time in ages. By the way, does anyone reckon that Gordon has actually packed his stuff up at Number 10? I really don't believe he has, hoping to do a Ted Heath for several more months.Oh, I’m sorry….I seem to be lost. I was looking for the sane side of town. I’d ask you for directions, but I have a feeling you’ve never been there and I’d be wasting my time.Comment

Gold at £26,200/kg, Sterling down 1.91% against the Dollar and almost 6% against Yen today, so far. And even managed a little drop against the Euro.Comment
