The people are speaking. We seem to have a clear winner if we remove the socky votes.

So, you want to re-instate posters who were almost universally despised by everyone on the board because of the trouble they caused?

          BRILLOPAD
So, you want to re-instate a poster who had a spat with Admin and quite happily left the site of his own free will?

(I think that is what happened but could be wrong).

Where is the fkn logic in that?

If this is a serious consideration then, IMHO, it is a step back.

MF, no offence, but maybe if you hadn't run off some of the regular posters who contributed positively to the board we wouldn't be having this debate!
Sorry but kinda sums it up to me as well <puts tin hat on>

If you want a busier more exciting General forum then you need characters.

Again has been mentioned before, it's a differing perception of busier and more exciting. If constant fighting, bullying and trolling excites you, then fine you are right you need characters. Saying that I wouldn't describe people hiding behind internet anonymity and trolling internet forums for thir selfish pleasure as 'characters' though. Each to their own.

I didn't find that type of content exciting so not for me. Sorry.
