Call from a user.....my PC has hung.

After the usual questioning (underwear, bra size, etc), I finally find the problem.

She is trying to send a 693MB girls holiday avi file to her friend.

I tell her the usual spiel about company networks not to be used for personal info, yada yada.

Then she lays in to me...."I thought we all had broadband now and stuff just, like, is fast and instant".

693MB FFS !

Now the MD is asking why no-one can send or receive email...the system seems a bit "slow"

Right...that's it....I'm sure she signed an appropriate usage form somewhere...wonder what HR will make of this.....

The person she sent it to, her friend, works in HR who is now trying to send it to her mates outside.

I once had an argument with someone that they HONESTLY do have an Esc key on their keyboard for 45mins....... take consolation in the fact that, without them.... we'd all be out of a job!!!!
