FWIW I've just got rid of the emoticon box by switching to the Basic Editor in General Settings (I got used to using the Smiley mnemonics ages ago, so don't miss the icons).Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away. -
That's good. But what browser are you using? Please let me know so we can look at the problem and fix for other users.Originally posted by Sysman View PostFWIW I've just got rid of the emoticon box by switching to the Basic Editor in General Settings (I got used to using the Smiley mnemonics ages ago, so don't miss the icons).Comment

Yup, admin fail again. I did not do my usual robust testing as thought you lot would be up-to-date, did not consider how many of you would be accessing through antiquated browsers on clients' sites where there is resistance to upgrades.Originally posted by minestrone View PostAdmin should have asked for 2 references
I did check the forum on FF and IE here but did not go back 2 versions to the 9 year old crock. Should have consulted the stats to make sure we were compatible with the systems being used to access us.
I did also ask for end user testing and had a lot of feedback but none from anyone using IE6. We will get the problems sorted I am sure, will just take a bit of time.Comment

Me too, these filter rules make it a little more work safe, like it overall though

That last one looks a little suss though, can see that one back firing at some point.Comment

How do I do this please? Just went to General Settings and it only gave me options re: my own privacy etc.Originally posted by Sysman View PostFWIW I've just got rid of the emoticon box by switching to the Basic Editor in General Settings (I got used to using the Smiley mnemonics ages ago, so don't miss the icons).Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
