Uh, that's another classic example of what I'm talking about. They sent out 250,000 cards, to addresses which came from the same sources as any other political party or double glazing company would get them from. Maybe the media forgot to point out that one in three people develop cancer during their lives. It is a massively prevalent disease. It's kind of not surprising that a few of the cards, perhaps one in three, should land on the doormat of someone with cancer or someone who knows someone with cancer.

But you seem to think that it is loathsome that people should be informed about what will happen to the support that they and their families will get under different parties. How could anyone be insulted by such information? Oh, wait, unless they had some kind of absurd hatred for the Labour Party, which a handful of the 250,000 people appear to have done, allowing a trashy media spin on the whole thing which people don't fall for. Not anyone that takes a second or two to think it through anyway. For most of us, it's just yet another incident where we think, well, how is Gordon Brown supposed to have done anything wrong there?

But there is nothing else to judge him on, all he is promising is financial pain which rightly or wrongly is a big turn off, Gordon is even worse because he has a track record of bulltulip.

The election is little more than 2 weeks away and we've had wall to wall volcano watch on the news channels, it's not apathy but disillusionment that will gives us a LibLab government.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

What else have I got to go on. He came off soft. hardly challenging GB on anything and going back to old organ grinder "NI increase will kill jobs" line. right now I'm struggling to determine what his track record is!

However there are 5.8 million public sector chaps/chapesses thinking that they may be part of the cull if the tories get in...

The Tory policy is to make drugs available to cancer sufferers that are currently not available. Now lying is commonplace by all parties , but to exploit people who have enough to worry about is a sloathsome as it gets.

How you judge Cameron is your business, but as far as Gordon Brown is concerned, he could look and present as well as a naked Emiliy Maitlis, but he cannot escape his appalling track record of incompetence.

What Gordon 'Mr Prudence' Brown? Gordon 'no more boom and bust' Brown?

Seeing as our family businesses work in Euros and Dollars he's done quite a good job for us.

Hang on a minute - you were chastising me a minute ago for judging him by his appearance at the debate..and now its okay?
Oh no doubt Gordo has mistakes..and I've made no indications that I'm a Labour voter... hate Consv.<>love Labour.
Once again the election is about voting in the least hated and least incompetant party. Though it is hard to tell as they agree on so much.

My point was that unlike david Cameron Gordon Brown has a track record on which we can judge him. Therefore it (in my opinion) is fairly foolish to judge GB on how he appears on TV. With david Cameron all we can really do is judge him on how he stacks up infornt of the media.

Well neither Dave nor Nick have bankrupted any countries or pension funds yet, so their track record can't be worse.
