      I bought the chicken roaster...

in general, what kind of temperature do you need it to be at, and how long does it take to do a chicken, I want to do one soon too see how it goes

how can you check if it's really done ?

      thanks,

      Milan.

Get yourself a griddle scraper and make sure to clean it down after use.

You should have a got a mini weber cookbook/carebook, the correct temp for chicken is 77 celcius in the breast and 84 celcius in the thigh.

You use the indirect heat method to cook it.

Also get yourself one of these, that way you're not waiting ages for it to light.

And don't bother getting the side table that goes with it, it's carp!

          But do get a cover.

            hi Norah,

I've got the One Touch Gold 57cm

it came with the quick starter, ok I won't get the table

have you got the thermometer ?

I was thinking a wire brush will do instead of 'their' scraper ?

haven't got the cover but keep it in the garage when not in use

yep got the little cookbook as part of the instructions, mine has the separators so I can do the indirect heating method

looking forward to roast a chicken in there

              norah,

how long in general does the chicken need ?

do you have to keep adding more coal ?

              Milan.

                I have the same one.

2kg chicken can take up to 90 mins, but keep checking the internal temp.

Also if you read the manual it tells you how many charcoal briquettes to add after each additional hour (page 7).

For a decent meat thermometer, get one of these
