To me liberals are the party of even bigger taxes, wasted money and more immigration. Three things this country desperately does not need.

Despite the criticism with regard to the Liberal performance in election debate yesterday, doesn't empirical evidence, rather than what's said (a poor metric), point to the Liberals being more honest than the other shysters? e.g. the expenses scandal had few if any Liberals feeding at the trough. They generally seem less greedy and dishonest to me, perhaps because there are less of them.

Well my local MP just happens to be one of the Liberals doing what I would regard as "feeding at the trough". Where I live it is a clear race between the LDs and the Tories, with NL a very distant 3rd even when they were doing well elsewhere. Sadly, I think he will still retain his seat, although I will certainly be voting against him.

If the people really want a local council income tax and PR then give it to them, they will be screaming for mercy after 6 months.

Like anyone earning 45K+ per year and paying into a pension.

The LD plans to scrap higher rate tax relief will basically mean a hit of about 3p in the pound for them (20% of their pension contributions)

Of course, they won't notice it for a few years until they get their pension forecast.
