Michael McIntyre .... where does he rank in the list of all time great comedians?
He's average IMHO, witty but not in the class of say, Peter Kay (Northern)
I find Peter Kay incredibly irritating. Particularly when he did all that Way to Amarillo stuff.
Just saw michael MacIntyre's Live at Wembley DVD and I have to say, it was brilliant. Really good observational comedy. Jack Dee's good too, similar stuff but a lot more deadpan.
McIntyre is one of the worst comedians of the new batch of mild comedy. Not as unfunny as John Bishop but pretty poor. About 2 years ago I saw him (MM) at a stand-up gig with no more than 20 people there and thought he was carp then. Can't understand why he has become so popular, although I notice women find him hilarious and men not so much. No idea why.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
Lee Evans is Tulip...... Norman Wisdom was bad but I guess 50 years ago that sort of stuff was "funny".....
I am thinking of the right Tw@t aren't I.... the bad Norman Wisdom impersonator.... with no talent.... no humour.... no timing.... just a badly fitting jacket.....
