If someone is on a day rate of say £200 then its safe to assume MOST contractors would earn more than that. Therefore your chance of taking a random contractor and seeing if you earn more than him is less than 50/50.

If say youre on a day rate of £600 a day, then its safe to assume MOST contractors earn less than that. Therefore your chance of taking a random contractor and seeing if you earn more than him is better than 50/50.

Its simple maths really ....... you should try it sometime.
