        Well there you go then, perhaps they used to be called something else. The only other folk I used to know around Newport were Newport Waferfab (used to be INMOS), Alcan (now closed) and a telecoms manufacturer that I can't remember what they were called, perhaps they're now called EADS. LG ripped the government off by promising big new government subsidised factories in Newport then the Asian crisis happened and the factories never got built.
