          Congrats

I fired off a load of applications mid feb, and heard nothing for two weeks after my last contract ended on 20 feb, and not one suitable contract on Jobserve until last week.

So thinking a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush, I applied for that, and accepted it, despite the rate being mediocre, the workload mountainous, and having to B&B it in Colchester (a three hour drive from where I live).

But the very next day three agents rang to say their clients wanted an interview, after sitting on my CV for three weeks. Also, two of the contracts were in central London where I'm based and had a much better rate than I'm on.

Why can't clients make up their minds quicker if they want a contractor?

(Obviously the moral is don't assume good roles are dead if you haven't heard back for a couple of weeks. If your war chest is larger than a thimble it's not necessarily best to be a muppet like me and grab the first offer that appears!)

Central London. Once I get the paperwork on Monday, I can start looking for somewhere to stay.
