Which airlines have the best inflight entertainment system (say for trip to Oz)
well you could just take sleeping pills and sleep the whole way....
I take it you do not enjoy a good read?
Sleeping pills are not a good idea for me on a long haul - I arrive completely messed up. They are also not really a good idea generally, but that's a different matter.
Not on a plane - I prefer to be able to switch off on the flight, not something I can do with a book.

Fly with an airline that has a power socket for you.
Or take an MP3 player and listen to music.
Last transatlantic flight I took, I watched Watchmen. At the end, all I could say was "Thank **** I watched that **** on a plane, where I wasn't wasting the time." If I'd paid to see it, or even watched it at home, I'd have been somewhat annoyed.

Not sure how prevalent power sockets are in economy these days?
Last time I went to NZ, I watched 4/5 movies that hadn't come out on DVD yet that I hadn't seen at the cinema, so I was a happy bunny.
When I was flying a long way regularly, I'd fire up the laptop and play Age of Empires or something similar. Can easily while away a couple of hours decimating some Egyptian tribes.
