Well I know you're not a millionaire but you probably have lots of cash.
My advice is spend it - the bulk on a property in a good part of London.
That's as cast iron an invetsment in this country as you're likely to get in the next few years.
Then buy a few toys like I have - you'll need them to cheer yourself up over the next few years - and I reckon any luxury items will have massive tax whacked on soon. Hence my splurge.

PS the Panamera is not very expensive really.
