The idea of having a moderator decided by popularity contest kind of defeats the object, doesn't it?

From admins original post, there are a couple of people in there who have also expressed an interest, plus however many have sent a PM to admin without needing to canvas the opinion of the proles.

I am sure I could list the ones that have written the 'sneaky' PM.

Personally I think we should have a day of competition to decide the moderator. Decide the core skills necessary and a group of games where the competitors can prove themselves able to perform the required skills.

To list one who did become the moderator would surely make myself an instant target for retribution as the listing could be seen as a slight on their 'sneaky' personality.
