I've manged 6 years or so, just gave up straight away. Apart from a few crafty ones once a year or so and birthday cigars, I haven't gone back to chuffing away full time.

Considered using patches etc but in the end did it cold turkey. After almost two weeks pretty much no cravings and feel like I've finally kicked it.

Don't get complacent though, it is so easy to relapse. I should know, I have done that many, many times.
