He IS relentlessly negative, but then again the Rugby England have been playing is relentless terrible - apart from a *few* sparks of excitement here and there. One thing he does illustrate though is the effect a good/bad ref has on the game since the rule changes, completely inconsistent decisions and different interpretations in every match I've seen, saying that the guy who reffed England /Ireland was good - he at least let the players play the ruck area a bit and make it a competition

Have you ever heard him say anything positive in a positive manner? Even when he is praising a team it is begrudgingly. He's a miserable ****.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostI thoroughly enjoy his commentary. He is very objective to the point of maybe being if anything a bit too critical of England. Stuart barnes is the same. At least the two of them talk as if they are explaining a point rather than coming up with an endless barrage of cliches."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

I do agree with you. It all depends on how you like your rugby to be presented. Barnes is much more positive and leaves his criticisms for the match analyses whereas Moore I think expects too much.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostHave you ever heard him say anything positive in a positive manner? That hasn't stopped you before!. I'll paraphrase all you need to know in a couple sentences. Here goes:Originally posted by AtW View PostI know exactly **** all about rugby, so I won't be posting detailed comments or expressing view for or against any of the posters on here.
The NH countries, despite delusions of adequacy and extensive funding have failed at 5 out the 6 world cups so far. Where their blind optimism and continued belief that they are any good at this game comes from is beyond even me.Comment

I'm in the "Anything but Moore" camp.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostIt all depends on how you like your rugby to be presented.
If it's available I use the red button/blue button to get R5Live commentary, I'd just prefer it if my preference was the default and Miserable Moore was relegated to the radio.

Bl**dy typical, coming up with a wild assertion and then entrenching yourself defending it.Originally posted by AtW View PostI know exactly **** all about rugby, so I won't be posting detailed comments or expressing view for or against any of the posters on here.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Sounds great. I'll be there. There are at least 4 pubs within a minutes stroll of the ground.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostWhy would anyone want to go on saturday other than dole hungry neanderthals? There is one pub, no humour and two of the worlds most boring rugby teams of all times re-enacting the animosity between the English and the Scots.
I am going to watch GB stuff North Korea in the Davis cup instead

My take on England’s current problems;
- lack of a decisive inside centre who’s prepared to talk some sense in JW when necessary. Mike Tindall will return shortly.
- back row and half backs failing to communicate with each other; glaring example was the Ireland try where the wing ran between line out and JW; never, ever leave a gap on the inside of the fly half. Other examples; Danny Care becoming isolated after good breaks from rucks and mauls, when back row should have been there; FFS, at one scoring chance v Italy the first man to the breakdown was 36 year old Simon Shaw. Tom Croft would make a big difference but is injured.
- wings waiting around for the ball instead of coming infield and following on shoulders of forward charges by back row or second row; Ben Cohen did this well, Monye is still to learn.
- lack of counter attacking play. Ben Foden showed he can and will counterattack and might make a big difference.
Other than that, they’re playing so-called safe, risk free rugby every week at their clubs instead of showing some endeavour. No idea what to do about this, but there’s one rule change I’d like to see; make the ‘fair catch’ area the whole defending half of the pitch instead of the 22; that might discourage the useless games of tennis.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument?
