It's a lot less work you need to do when your only big customer walks away.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostSounds too much like work to me.Comment

Never said that but your tightness is probably picked up on and people do not like to work for tight people.Originally posted by AtW View PostAnd you expect us to offer 1st class train / air travel to employees and contractor?
The boss (me) travels standard class and chooses off peak period to reduce cost to the business, that's the right attitude that I'd expect all SKA employees to follow at the time of the worst recession since God knows when.
I travel first class every day and fork out 500 a month and I see it as money well spent, I get a couple of hours work done without people like you breathing over my shoulder.Comment

you have already admitted that you pre book so that is not what you would pay.Originally posted by AtW View Post

First class is nearly always 1/3 more.Comment

You say "admitted" as if I am doing something illegal or dirty.Originally posted by minestrone View Postyou have already admitted that you pre book so that is not what you would pay.
I do reserve seats usually day before I go: since I use off-peak tickets the prices are the same anyway, I don't want to be suckered into cheaper tickets with exact timings.
Out of interest I just checked 1st class prices for travel 2 weeks from now (surely long enough period to reserve tickets?) - "Cheapest First Class return" is still £240.
Buying single 1st class is £120 for any time (so same as return) or £57 one way fixed time, and £60-100+ another one to return back, still over £120-150.
So, if I went to London every day buying 1st class anytime tickets I'd have to spend £5k on travel per month, or £60k per year.Comment

Law on flexi time - legal right for most to choose time to start work from 8-10am, possibly rotating it once a week. This will spread enough road traffic to deal with congestion.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostWhat's the answer?Comment
