I dont want to see the guy banned, I dont want to see anyone banned, but the idea that he is now rendered harmless because he has done his porridge is a bit daft in my mind.

I am not going to ban someone for having been to prison for the kind of crimes he committed. If you want to ignore him or message him to tell him you don't like what he did then you can do that.

IMO he had/has mental health issues. What would banning him from here achieve that a custodial sentence has not already done?

Wasn't Lucy banned for something along those lines?

Though. Talking of banning. Personally I think consistently threatening, aggressive behaviour should get the poster a ban. Churchill has been getting seriously out of order on posts including one where the moderator deleted it(but I have a copy). Just my pennys worth.
