I still don't get this authentication thingy.
e.g. first time I met Zippy and norrahe, I introduced myself under a different username than this one. So, who is real and who isn't?
If I turned up to another event with no-one who knew me and introduced myself as PRINCE2_of_darkness, would that therefore make PRINCE2_of_darkness genuine because people have met someone who says that this is who they are?
(For the record, PRINCE2_of_darkness isn't me - he's RichardCranium, who is a sockpuppet, but has been verified as real
)

Strictly speaking, he's been authenticated as real by certain people who are listed against the name and who can in turn be looked up further up the chain. No doubt a few sockies made it on there, but at least you know who to blame.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostI still don't get this authentication thingy.
