What's an interview? I might apply for one of those.

I've been doing a similar job perm for a few years, but this is the first pitch which is outside of my comfort zone and I mean way outside. It's going to be more about understanding the business and being able to handle senior stakeholders, very senior(£1M+) and then PM's that!

Spent four hours preparing so far. Going to do another 2, then a couple in the morning.

Is this excessive or do members actually prepare for contractors?
Try and work on the burgers and fries tonight, you should be able to cram the milkshakes and ice creams in the morning.

I spent a few hours earlier this week digging around a potential clients website and poking around their financial report. You can glean quite a bit if you know what to look out for.

Haven't got the interview date yet, of course...

Keep this one thing at the front of your mind when you go into the interview: if I get this role, one day someone here will twig that I am the one that spoilt one-A-day by acting like a c..t; it will undermine me and may cause the project to fail which would blight my chances forever more.

Just remember that and things will turn out for the best.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Now that, was a cool retort! In fact it was almost of Samuel L Jackson quality!

Not anymore, I've spent the last 14 years being really good at what I do, if there's something else I find that I need to cram...

For some reason every time I prepare really well I never need it and they just offer me the job/reject me for no valid reason or I do no preparation and they ask me lots of questions.

mf: "i've got yet another super high profile upper management senior vp director of very significant things interview tomorrow that suits me perfectly because i'm the ideal candidate for being a high flying senior management player in the very big time. i've never failed an interview (i have a 100% interview to win ratio) but maybe it would be a good idea to do some preparation even though i'm perfectly suited for a role that demands an ego of world domination size..." yawn.

yes, preparing for an interview is a good idea. the less comfortable you feel the more prep you need. prep until you can answer the questions you wouldn't want them to ask.

let us know how you get on when you get unbanned. we want to know if that 100% record is still intact.
