So what you're really saying is that during the interview/selection process you never stated that being in the office 4 days per week is a requirement and you never asked if this was acceptable to the candidate, instead you led them on by offering the role and then dropped the extra requirement in last minute and wonder why they don't accept??
or did the candidate say it wasn't an issue and then decide it was? i.e they got a better offer elsewhere
