Guardian Poll - Tory Lead Down to 7%

Correction, it was the Conservative Govt of 70-74, specifically the Barber boom, that knocked the UK economy out of joint. People often make this mistake, and assume the power cuts and 3-day week of the 70s took place under Labour. They didn't, it was under the Conservatives. Still, Mr Brown's done his best to take Mr Barber's position as the biggest wrecker of GB Ltd.Speaking gibberish on internet talkboards since last Michaelmas. Plus here on Twitter -
I seriously hope the Tories get in - I can't stand more of Brown and coRule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment

Proof this forum is full of paranoid nut jobs. Although I do miss the days when Killroy Silk was in charge of UKIP, the man had real class.Originally posted by Lockhouse View PostI'm voting UKIP and hoping it splits the Tory vote. As it stands I can't tell the difference between any of the three major parties. 5 years of Brown presiding over a disaster and then being forcibly removed is better than a wet Tory Government that thinks it too has a mandate to sell us into Euro slavery.
No really, he did, real classy, honest.Comment

For this cunning plan to work, it is important that Brown is left with a minority government.Originally posted by Platypus View PostYes, I'm starting to wonder about voting Labour as a longer term strategic move. I wonder what would happen if the Tories announced the above as their election strategy? (well clearly they'd lose the election but I wonder for how long the voters would hold it against them? Until the next series of Big Brother or I'm a Celebrity?)
In a minority government, the opposition can pick and choose the time to get rid of him with a vote of no confidence.
If Brown wins a majority, he'll stay for the full term, and imagine what further damage he would do in another five years.Comment

I'm not surprised considering that Cameron has sold out all the common sense tory policies in his attempt to mimick New Labour.Originally posted by GreenerGrass View PostThat said Cameron isn't setting the world alight. A hung parliament is looking scarily likely right now, but I think the Conservatives will just win it outright by a whisker.
What will Cameron do about the EU? Immigration? High taxes? Benefit culture? Yob culture? Islamic terrorism? Promotion of homosexuality to children?
that's right- more of the same.Comment

He's also said he won't tackle the deficit with major cuts before 2011 because Gordon said so.Originally posted by contractor79 View PostI'm not surprised considering that Cameron has sold out all the common sense tory policies in his attempt to mimick New Labour.

The Conservatives 'claim' that they will have a budget in 50 or so days. They have a hope. It's doing to take nearly a year to do a forensic audit of the fiscal position of the country and formulate a plan. Probably liquidation.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostHe's also said he won't tackle the deficit with major cuts before 2011 because Gordon said so.How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Of the population? The multinationals and Gordon would love that, we could all be replaced by young Bob.Originally posted by HairyArsedBloke View PostThe Conservatives 'claim' that they will have a budget in 50 or so days.
