Sorting out my Bookmarks

I've created bookmarks folders in FF, but I never did spend the time to work out how to use the 'bookmark to a folder' feature so that I could bookmark directly into the correct folder, in one go. I manually move the bookmark into the folder afterwards.

If you click "Bookmarks", "Bookmark this Page", then "Choose", then highlight the required folder and click "OK" it seems to work. (Also, if the folder is visible you don't need to click "Choose" and scroll down to find it - Just highlight the folder and click "OK")

It would be better if the Bookmark dropdown had a slider, like the "Choose" dropdown when adding a link. With several hundred links, the only way to move up and down the list is to hold down the arrow buttons at the top and bottom, and wait while the list slowly trundles past!

Another annoying feature is that after you drag a link into a sub-folder, the dropdown vanishes! I mean, why not just leave it there?
