I cant provide a linky, but you are talking nonsense. The last time I checked this, only a dozen or so glaciers were being monitored out of a few thousand and even the experts warned that no conclusions should be drawn for this very reason

This was always shakey ground and acusing the questioners of Voodoo science was not just being hamfisted, it is indicative of a whole approach.

      Translation:

I have no evidence but the random firing of my rather limited neurons.
      Nevertheless I must be right.
After all I learned at school (where I didn't really do very well) that my opinion is as good as yours.
So if I say you must be talking nonsense, you must be, so there.
And if you don't like it I'll thcweam and thcweam until you listen to me.

          It's 'Phil', btw.

It is true that only a tiny fraction of the several thousand glaciers are monitored directly (not the most accessible part of the globe), its true that some are advancing (the real world is like that - complicated).

Which is why they are monitored remotely, by satellite. The first paper I linked to used remote sensing and found 80% of the glaciers on the Tibetan Plain have retreated, with a loss in area of about 4.5%. This is consistent with the results from elsewhere in the cryosphere.

The IPCC statement on the error is here, and here is a very funny story about the worldwide glacier retreat.

          Bye for Now.

          (It's Phil, BTW).
My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.

You link is a selective quotation from an article which explains why the glaciers are temporarily increasing in size.

So in fact you have been hoist by your own petard.

Any miniscule credibility that you may have once had has been removed.

Not only are you a waste of time, you're looking really stupid now.

                HTH, but I doubt it.

                  Small World!

The website referenced by Mr BB appears in the article at my second link!

He's not to know that, as he's not really reading your posts, just posting random bollux that occurs to his tiny mind

sas, why did you disappear from the last thread about GW? The one that rubbished a lot of AGW evidence and provided pictures of submarines at the north pole?

Without Mr Clarke's coat-tails to hang on to, I doubt you'd have set foot in this thread either. It's like having a new big brother, isn't it.
