    Banks hire direct?

I've just had a chat with a pal of mine who is looking for a job at the moment and he says that some of the banks are advertising directly on Jobserve for contract roles.

I did retort that he dothe speak plenty tulip.

So he pointed me towards: Suisse Sminki and he says he spotted BarCap at it as well last week.

I'm not in the market and I wouldn't touch either with Andyw member tied to a barge pole.

What give here? How long has this been going on?
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

    Interesting.

I've heard stories that BarCap are overly macho/aggressive.

I know nothing of CS in London. Aren't the Swiss a bit more calm ?

From reputation the American banks are the worst. I have no personal experience.

Edit: If you click on the contracts you may see this text in the advert "Alexander Mann Solutions, a Recruitment Process Outsourcing Company, may in the delivery of some of its services be deemed to operate as an Employment Agency or an Employment Business."

JP Morgan are getting in on this as well.

They are holding recruitment gatherings thinly disguised as "technology and networking" seminars. I got an invite to one coming up.
