Unlike those who feel the need to advertise their faith, atheists should just not bother.

Or are they just as insecure as those who have those daft fishes on the back of the car?

I'm not the worlds biggest fan of organised religion, in particular the catholic church given that I've seen the damage it can cause and the meddling it does in everyday life in rural Ireland.
I'm also not a fan of guilt tripping people and encouraging blind faith.

Why not? Just like any other religion are they not duty bound to educate and convert others?

Only allowing preordained religious followers to announce their belief. How very un-christian of you

What about a symbol for my belief system?

Athiests look down on people who believe in a God because there is no proof that there is a God. But, unless Athiests can prove there is NO God, they are in no position to criticise.

Which is why pragmatic Agnosticism is the only sane belief system. According to wiki this is defined as: the view that there is no proof of either the existence or nonexistence of any deity, but since any deity that may exist appears unconcerned for the universe or the welfare of its inhabitants, the question is largely academic.

God is an answer to bigger questions than whether or not god exists. If you can answer those questions without resorting to omniscient super beings the existence or non existence of god is irrelevant.
