He's an Ozzie, I will try to explain it to him in terms he will understand.

Bruce, imagine you are in Darling harbour, right, and you head west a hundred miles, thats the blues mountains right ? the borderlands, the M25.

Now keep going. Pretty soon you find yourself in a wasteland, full of terror and a hostile environment right. Thats oop North that is.

Keep going untill you come to an Oasis in the wasteland, Alice Springs right ?
Over here it is the European capital of culture, also known as Liverpool. We have these abbos but we call them scousers, or asbos, and they ask deep questions from the dreamtime like 'WarraYOUfcknLookinAt'

You have dame Edna but opp North we have a Savage called Lily, and instead of Rolf Harris we have a Northerner called Banksie.

One day you will visit this ancient, strange and mysterious land, maybe on a CUK night out

Don't we have Rolf Harris now?

Indeed. You haven't been to Liverpool.

I learnt my first swear word whilst visiting my grandparents in Liverpool. Not from my grandparents I should add, but from the kids in the street (kids could play in the street in those days...)
