Didn't the people in the 50's and 60's come here as an act of individual choice, to live, pay tax & settle?

This isn't really about immigration. It's about 'Onshoring'. That is 4 year tour of duty in the UK.

Deep fried hamster vindaloo? I'd like some onion salad with that.

How about the policy of the Labour government taking any and all back handers going?

Yes, it economically wrong. It has done long-term damage to the country.

Yes, it is morally wrong too.

Yes, it would have happened under the Conservatives too.

However, sadly, this war is over. The damage has been done and 'we' lost.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I don't believe the war is over. I don't think we even fought!

'Onshoring' of Indian national is economically insane. That's a basis for action govt can understand.

There is an existing law in place which can be tightened.

Laws are often changed in response to dogged pressure groups We don't have one but if we did it would be possible.

Have to agree there. I've seen first hand hundreds of workers marched out to be replaced by their onshore counterparts and these companies seemingly doing this with total and utter impunity.

Perhaps its the white collar nature of the job, in many other industries we'd be out there wielding sawn-off table legs. We just shrug and look at maybe retraining as a plumber or start thinking of Plan B's.

So if you can all take to the streets i'll see how it went on YouTube later, Wednesday is my Bridge night so not good for me.

A horrible sight. I've never lost a job to an offshore person but I really empathise with those that have. Especially 'permies' who've been there for years.
