I quite like the idea of this lending business. I've got a stash I'm looking to invest.
I was toying with setting up a Peer to Peer lending service like Zopa. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Perhaps a peer to peer pay day loan company (ie short term small loans only).Comment

Oh FFS, you guys are pathetic - you've got loads of money and you happen to be supposedly IT Contractors, yet you don't invest into your own high tech Plan Bs that would drive the economy out of recession, provide employment to locals, become real leader of your local community and finally get a well deserved pat on the back from Her Majesty, you bunch of whiners and losers!

No I just want a quick buck and good gloat, very little effort. I certainly don't want to hire permies or god forbid immigrants, or have anything to do with HMG.Originally posted by AtW View PostOh FFS, you guys are pathetic - you've got loads of money and you happen to be supposedly IT Contractors, yet you don't invest into your own high tech Plan Bs that would drive the economy out of recession, provide employment to locals, become real leader of your local community and finally get a well deserved pat on the back from Her Majesty, you bunch of whiners and losers!

It's about the P2P engine. Bringing buyer with seller, lender with borrower, company with customer.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostMeans you don't lend your own money, just take a cut. interesing.

Ebay, USwitch, Zopa. Take a small piece and build a massive business.
P2P lending is still on the up and is expected to grow massively. How about P2P for property? You have a fixed asset in place. It's all about risk.
I've got a couple of ideas down but haven't modelled them fully yet. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment
