The larger the APR the more expensive a loan, right? Wrong. It’s a common perception, but with Wonga’s super-flexible approach to short term credit the opposite applies.
These people prey on the desperate. What happens when you can't pay I wonder...

I have lots of money to lend.
It's all done online (application, credit checks via web services, giving and taking payments).
Wonga charge £25 for every £100 borrowed and you have to pay it all back within 30 days.
If you don't pay, they take it from your debit card, if that bounces, they sell the debt to very nasty people near you. You credit rating is trashed too.

Are there no rules governing how much they end up paying including collection and court costs? For example if the punters are out when the collection men turn up to try to retrieve your £100.
