The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no need to form a secretive and clandestine male-dominated organisation in this day and age if your sole aim is to raise money for charity.
I had to join the Masons, the Woman's Institute wouldn't have me.
"I hope Celtic realise that, if their team is good enough, they will win. If they're not good enough, they'll not win - and they can't look at anybody else, whether it is referees or any other influence." - Walter Smith
Oi, he started it! I pull him up on his lack of tolerance and he rants on about Freemasonry, where the f**k did that come from?
Because he's an intolerant barsteward.

Be free. Don't use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. 1 Peter 2:16, funnily enough. Seems a reasonable compromise.
Difference between the WI and the masons, is that the WI don't shroud what they do in secrecy... because they don't need to. They just have to start talking about periods and childbirth and all men will clear off pretty quick...
Oh yes, and the Masons didn't slow handclap Blair.
I've realised that when doing you tube videos, you have to weigh up what's more important. Getting the message across, or alienating your intended audience.
I wouldn't get too worked up over tweaking the sensibilities of a flock of godbothering reactionary redneck septics. Screw 'em!

But support is support and you have to craft the message accordingly.
I may not agree with their religion, but that wasn't the case in point for discussion.

Has Threaded's time machine gone wrong again and transported us all back to the nineteen seventies?
I will admit that I felt more than a little uncomfortable the first time that I met a transvestite. Playing the incident over in my mind again later I asked myself "exactly what was wrong with that?". I couldn't come up with a single answer so gave myself a and resolved not to be so stupid again in the future.
