Mine is:

Austerlitz by WG Sebald - a strange hypnotic style of writing, the dreamlike and haunting sequence at the start reminded me of when I first read the start of Great Expectations at age 8.

Definitely one to read again and again.

The last decade is 1991-2000. The current decade is 2001-2010, which I assume is what you were referring to.

I think my favourite was 'Life of Pi' - thought it was a fantastic book.

Closely followed by 'The Book Thief' - a really good read.

Night Elie Wiesel

I picked the book up on a plane (someone had left it).

I knew nothing about it.

It simply blew me away, it made me realise how lucky we are in this time and how much history had to teach us.

Read it...
