In other words, no. You are now a business owner operating in a ruthless, hard world. All these nice people on CUK are actually your competitors and will not hesitate to grab your contract if you're underperforming. You get paid more than permies BECAUSE you are disposable, and if you want to get paid a lot more then you need to make sure your skills are better than your competitors and you're better at sellilng your skills.

Yes all, I am new to contracting.
Believe it or not I understood all the employment stuff i.e. you pay yourself through your ltd company. I already have one setup and have been using it for private work.
What I was referring to is that do we have any rights as contractors? Is there any body which is there to protect us? Or is it through our company that we have our rights? i.e. my ltd company vs the company offering the contract?
