peaceniks and tree huggers
I hope the peaceniks and tree huggers who claimed that there was never a threat to the UK realise that terrorists do no share their world views. The resolve of the British people will be strengthened and the scourge of terrorism will be defeated once and for all.Sola gratia

I seriously doubt you'll find a 'pacenik' or 'treehugger' who say's there was never a threat, Chico.
In fact, unless your head has been up your arse for the last 4 years I seriously doubt you'll find anyone in the UK who didn't think we were, and have been, a target for a very long time and that this was only a matter of when, not if.
You want to apportion blame, apportion it to the terrorists. They're the ones doing it.Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith

wasn't there the small matter of Libya bombing a plane over the skies of Scotland?
Of course the UK was a target before Iraq.

snaw
when the Met police chief there were hundreds of trained Al Qaeda operatives running around in London, the lefties sneered well so far reports of up to 40 people dead. Wonder what Liberty will say to the families of the dead and injured.Sola gratia

God's truth the ignorance here is astounding! You really are getting the issue confused now. AL Queda was fighting with the americans at that point. Libya is a totally differnet issue. Why not bring the IRA into it also?Comment

spod you are an idiot. You seriously think Al Qaeda was only interested in blowing up Americans? what about the East African bombings? Bali etc, Morroco, Turkey - all Western interests are under threat - the US happens to be the biggest target - not the only one. In your twisted logic we should have appeased the terrorists by staying out of Afganistan and Iraq. You disgust me.Sola gratia

All post Iraq or not UK targets. The 'war on terror' brought terror here, no doubt about it. You clearly have no idea and are so confused it's not worth arguing with youComment
