As Hayek says, all a country needs to develop is the rule of law, property ownership rights and access to free trade. The last thing a developing country needs is protectionism. If the country is poor and its labour is cheap, in a free trading environment what on earth would they need protecting from?
Some of you cannot seem to get your heads around is that protectionism is wrong and leads to inefficiency.
But not all is lost, in 30 years time the wealthy Chinese and Indians will be recruiting bus conductors from the EU and offshoring their IT systems to us. If you have just entered into IT the future is rosy.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment
