9/11 - Taleban that controlled Afganistan at the time refused to get Osama bin Laden, thus accepting responsibility for his actions.

It was NATO operation and it should have never finished until they got Osama - it was possible early on but Iraq proved a terrible distraction and allowed Taleban to regroup.

The best legal response would be for the streets to be completely empty of people especially the Press, of course that won't happen.

That would be interesting to orchestrate.

Sadly the things that would actually make an impact are those least likely to happen. There will be hundreds of Press cameras and reporters and a fair few people shouting and probably some anti protestors arrested which is exactly what the march organisers want.

Fair point, well made. I have seen and heard Anjem Choudary in action on TV and radio - he's even more offensive than Chris Moyles at times; and Choudary isn't doing it for "entertainment".

A better response would be to carpet the entire road, pavement to pavement, in dung (horses**t, cows**t, anysh**) and see if they would walk through it.

No criminal damage, after all, it can be washed away. Not preventing their 'freedom of speech', but it would tell them very clearly what we thought of their location choice. A premature end to any march, I'm sure.

Much easier to orchestrate - I'm sure the local farmers would do it for free.

Best accomplished by allowing them to march, and re-routing several Polish articulated lorries along the same route
