      This year Sci Fi Films.

I really like District 9, a lot of sub text about apartite.

Hmm sci fi - tricky subject, films in this genre tend to be enjoyable for either being very good or being very bad.
I do enjoy Plan 9 and Mr P has a huge collection of dodgy (not the way you're thinking) B movies, which are very enjoyable after a glass or two.

The Thing from another world (origional ) is brilliant and the remake was rather good too.
        Blade runner - obviously.
        Alien and Alien ++

The monolith monsters is one of my favs - mainly because its such an origional idea

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Came_from_Outer_Space

The Blob - for the great theme tune if nothing else!

Tarantula (it has a sceen in the lab with giant guinea pigs )

Eight legged Freaks is one I like too

Stalker has got to be dullest sci fi going - Mr P raves about it

        Daleks invasion Earth

The Incredible Shrinking Man- very well done

        Them - ABSOLUTLY brilliant

Night of the Lepus - very very funny, for ALL the wrong reasons and you can add the Killer Shrews to that catagory too.

Origional Godzilla, with Mothra etc and not that remake GINO crap (Godzilla in Name Only)

Hmm I could spend hours doing this!!
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

              Does Time Bandits count? - it's on Film 4 tonight @ 18:45
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

                  Upcoming releases:

                  Avatar (James Cameron - 220M 3D epic)

The Road (Film adaptation of Cormac McArthys' novel of the same name. The book is amazing, hoping for good things from the film - i think Viggo Mortensen plays 'The Man' - out on Jan 4th).
