It's a big weekend in Geneva - they are celebrating when Geneva fought off an invasion by the French. Plus the people in the rest of the business are ok - just IT that are odd!

Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

In the good old days office parties were just that. Parties held in the office. Some companies even banned alcohol and they way around the ban was to pour Vodka into to Coke cans. This actually made drunkenness worse because nobody would gauge how much to drink. The office also gave the opportunity to use the faculties such as stationery cupboards, closets and meeting rooms. Many happy memories."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Had one Xmas do last night - got in about 3am. Have got another tonight. In true contractor style today is a working day although a trip to Greggs at lunchtime might be needed to fortify my constitution.Guy Fawkes - "The last man to enter Parliament with honourable intentions."Comment

I worked at one place where the project manager forbade anyone to come in the day after, if they had drunk too much the night before at the christmas party.Comment
