      Agree wholeheartedly.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Definitely that Pogues song, Fairy tale of New York.

Couldnt they find a decent dentist while they were out there?

Oh, and also that Shakin Stevens song. Luckily I've forgot the name.

              Ding Dong Merrily on High

All that fa la la la la la laring drives me bonkers.

It sounds like a folk song sung by great big ginger bearded weirdos (Mitch Benn reference for those in the know).

              Just stop. It. Now.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

              C.S. Lewis

I hate, loathe, and despise all Christmas songs even more than I do Christmas itself, and that's saying something

                  BAAAAAAAA!

Now go and decorate your trees, then go out and give all your money to the shops buying stuff of no quality for friends and family who don't need it and who wish they didn't have to do the same for you

Ok, I have to admit to really liking one christmas song from the 80's:

                    The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping.

                    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUOxmXPo69w

And if you get fed up with that, there's the inferior Spice Girls version:

What a bunch of miserable gits! It's Xmas, chill out and have a bit of fun. The kids keep playing a Xmas compilation at home and we can't help but sing along, have a laugh and be happy. <normal business will resume after 4th January>
