I noticed Eternal's signature and remembered that I had see fieldfare and redwing at the weekend who have flown south to be with us this winter. Think of those poor souls, like the Scottish, who have to watch their birds fly south to be with us.

Sorry, I can't help but plug my blog's version of Forever Autumn.
At the time I still had hopes that I'd be out of the country by nowHow did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

that may be so oh, but we get loads of scandanavian aviansincluding redwings & fieldfares. saw lots of f/fares yesterday in fact and i do get redwings in the garden.
on the same theme, there has been a lot of snow recently, which over the past couple of days has retreated back upwards a few hundred feet. this leaves a lot of things like ptarmigan and mountain hares who venture below the snowline visible for miles, but they don't seem to realise this. it's very funny, you can get so close to them and they remain convinced that you can't see them.Comment
