OK, who had the bright idea for me to go down the pub?
I got soaked on the way there. Didn't like the idiot football crowd so moved on to another one and in the process got another soaking. I got a third soaking on the way back so I went back into the first one as I was passing it to save me from getting even wetter.
So I am soaked, cold, a tenner poorer and I still have to read "Futures spreads on the CME Globex platform".
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

That's because your boss is evil. I'd steal the profits, if I were you. That'll teach him.Originally posted by AtW View PostStill in the office
My wife is self-employed. Funnily enough, her boss is an absolute bitch. Makes her work stupid hours and all sorts of crap that I wouldn't put up with.
Edit: hang on, you're posting on here, not working! I hereby retract my sympathy!

Oh dear god, please tell me you don't have music blabbering on in the background in a place of work ?Originally posted by AtW View PostOne of my office speakers does not work - talking music worse than mono here
I used to work in a place like that once, where the office radio was tuned in to the local radio station, and trying to rebuild Active Directory on a Server when caller Sharon is cackling like a fishwife because Steve fell in the kid's playing pool last week is beyond annoying.Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
