Ah, thought the name "Eggle" sounded familiar but I remember him from his days as just "Patrick Eggle" when he was based in Coventry.Originally posted by DS23 View PostWhere are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?Comment

That first video was a bit unpleasant. There was a film I saw about sink holes in Africa which will with CO2 and animals wander in, and die gasping for breath. These are followed by predators and scavengers who, in turn, suffocate. And so on for more scavengers. The behaviour of the animals, gasping but confused, until they fall down and die, was quite distressing. The thought of that chap being in that state is a bit disturbing.Originally posted by cojak View Post

Well, indeed. I haven't got sound here but I can imagine what went on.Originally posted by RichardCranium View PostThat first video was a bit unpleasant.
IMO, there's too much to go wrong with a rebreather - getting the slightest drop of water on your scrubber re-agent (or whatever it's called) releases a toxic gas - no fun."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment
