I worked for British Gas before and after it was privitised. A company full of (but not all) pointless people, in pointless positions, doing pointless "job for life" work because the tax payer was paying... then they got a much needed reality check.
No body derserves a living, you earn it. This country is just full of freeloading idiots, and positively encourages other freeloaders to come along and join the party. And we let them FFS!Comment

So we lose the chance to deflate our currency and boost our exports. - Pump more money into public services
You're having a giraffe aren't you? That's partly the reason we're in such a mess right now - Raise tax on banks and rich people to 80%
And what do you think all those rich people will do, mass exodus anyone? - Sign up to the Lisbon Treaty (true we've done that already but it will take time to reap the benefits)
- Encourage millions more workers into the country from abroad
Brill, create some more unemployment. - Withdraw from Afganistan and Iraq and Belize
Probably the only idea I'm inclined to agree with - Ban all money movements out of the country to tax havens
If money can't get out to tax havens it won't come to the UK in the first place. - Increase surveillance on tax cheats
CCTV in my house? - Mileage tax on cars
Big brother box in my car?

Yeah, what a cleaver idea! Remember when they done that before? Cos they did, and everyone just f*cked right out of here. Taking their money with them. Hiring nannies no more, paying school fees no more etc etc etc. What twits (sic) these socialists are.Comment

I've thought of some more:- Every child must go to University. This will remove all costs of unemployed people between the ages of 16 and 21, a substantial saving. It will also ensure that the next generation is better educated than the current one, and thus better able to contribute to the economy. Win-win.
- Build one wind-powered electricity generator (windmill) per 100 people. This will provide employment for many thousands of workers, and thenceforth provide all the electricity the country needs at nearly zero cost. Win-win.
- Replace 8,000 miles of trunk roads with new electric railway lines. This will also provide employment for many thousands of workers, make railways more accessible to millions of people, and decimate the amount of oil we need to buy for the less efficient motor car. Win-win-win.

Dust off our stockpile of nuclear weapons and nuke the UK from orbit. This would be a painless and merciful end to a future of suffering and no less than a dog would deserve. Wildlife would soon return and the country could be a paradise again. If we haven't got enough missiles to do the job properly, just fire a few at some larger countries. Trouble is, 'our' missiles are probably duds.Comment

It doesn't help the Tories case much when they are quickly exposed to have their fingers in the pie as much as Labour. Anyone see Question Time last night when Will whatshisname exposed Pauline-double-barreled-whatshername over the Quinetiq privatisation? All are a bunch of crooks, as I think he also said.Comment
